The certification program in essential oil education offered by the Institute of Spiritual Healing and Aromatherapy is a 300 hour course of study that includes:

• Three courses
• Completion of homework booklets and case studies
• A research project and paper
• Six Teleseminars
• Written tests 
  
  The program is approved by the National Association for Holistic Aromatherapy (NAHA) for Level I and Level II in Aromatherapy and approves the ISHA program as a school of aromatherapy to grant certification to those students who complete all the requirements. Once certified, students may qualify to sit for the national ARC exam to become a Registered Aromatherapist (RA).

The ISHA program is also approved by the Alliance of International Aromatherapists (AIA) for Level I Aromatherapy which qualifies our students to sit for the national ARC exam to become a Registered Aromatherapist (RA).

Students who complete courses 301 through 303 in the certification in clinical aromatherapy program can now purchase liability insurance that covers them doing both aromatherapy and energy healing. Becoming a certified clinical aromatherapist says to the world that you have successfully completed all the requirements of a rigorous educational program and are now ready to use your skills and knowledge to help others reduce their stress, manage pain, detoxify the body and improve quality of life through the use of nature's therapeutic essential oils. As a certified clinical aromatherapist, you do not diagnose or prescribe for anyone unless you have a license to do so. You can share your knowledge, research a problem for someone and give personal testimonies in order to help others find balance in their lives. Aromatherapy does not cure anything but rather it enhances an ability to find balance and harmony in body, mind and spirit.
