CCA 301 Sent to Heal and Anoint. Just as early peoples used their hands and the plants of the earth to heal one another, you too can practice this ancient healing tradition today through aromatherapy and hands-on healing. Over two and a half days, participants will explore the history of aromatics through studying the healing traditions of essential oils from ancient cultures, our biblical experience, healers from the Middle Ages and our modern day. The science of 35 aromatic oils and their vibrational frequencies are explored and will give the student insight into how these essential oils work. Participants learn how essential oils affect the body/mind/spirit. Assessment is emphasized including taking interviews, health histories, energy assessment and appropriate selection of essential oils for application, follow-up and referral process. Learning to integrate essential oils with heart-centered energetic healing techniques through various guided experiences is a highlight of this course and lays a foundation for the next two advanced courses in aromatherapy. CCA 302 Essential Oils for Physical Health and Well-Being. This three-day course looks deeper into the healing qualities of certain essential oils known to be helpful for the physical body, namely those that promote healthy skin, aid the body’s natural defenses, promote general health, vitality and longevity, improve nutrition, boost stamina and energy and support the digestive and respiratory systems. Taxonomy of plants is discussed then the basic chemistry of these oils along with the oil’s vibrational frequencies, toxicity and essential oil safety. Participants deepen their assessment skills and selection of appropriate essential oils for healing treatments. A highlight of this course is creating a balanced blend for a partner in a healing sequence. A series of heart-centered healing techniques round out this energetic healing and aromatic experience making this an exciting way to learn aromatherapy. CCA 303 Essential Oils for Emotional and Spiritual Clearing. This three day course begins with a look at the history and modern development of essential oils and the incorporation of essential oils into a holistic healing practice. There is an emphasis on assessment and interviewing. Anatomy of body systems is continued from the 302 course with descriptions of the musculoskeletal, nervous, circulatory, reproductive, urinary, lymphatic and endocrine systems and how essential oils can aid these body systems. The participant will then get to examine healing qualities of 25 essential oil blends known to be helpful for emotional and spiritual clearing--elevating moods, mental clarity, reduction of anxiety and stress and that are spiritually uplifting and aid meditation. The history of fragrance and spirituality as well as anointing traditions among various peoples are addressed. A series of heart-centered healing techniques continue this energetic healing and aromatherapy experience completing the aromatherapy education from a unique spiritual and holistic perspective.
